Full Time Ecommerce Assistant

At Underwoods Motor Group we are looking for an Ecommerce Assistant to assist the Ecommerce Manager with the day to day running of the Ecommerce Department and help to move the Ecommerce side of the business to a new level. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly created department within a busy and successful business. We are currently developing a new parts and accessories website to complement our existing selling platforms and expanding our social media marketing, so this will be a varied and interesting position which will evolve as the department grows.

The role initially includes:

  • Picking, packing and preparing products for dispatch, printing postage labels and completing all necessary paperwork.
  • Creating product listings including writing product descriptions, researching product/vehicle compatibility using an EPC, creating files in Excel, uploading files and images to our website and other selling platforms.
  • Optimising product listings to increase sales and maximise revenue.

  • Answering customer emails and phone calls and resolving customer queries efficiently and politely.
  • Creating and scheduling social media posts and targeted emails.

If you are enthustiastic and reliable, take pride in everything you do, are trustworthy, creative, analytical and pay attention to detail then you may be just the person we are looking for. We need you to be prepared to undertake physical packing work as well as an office based role and to be able to adapt to a fast moving environment in an ever changing sector, enjoying the challenge of learning new skills and confidently putting these into practice. It is essential that you are computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel. Experience with Goodle Analytics, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign would also be beneficial but not essential. You will need to be able to work using your own initiative and also as part of a team, adapting to a variety of tasks with a positive and proactive attitude. Excellent customer service skills and a polite telephone manner are extremely important. Previous experience in an Ecommerce Department, with using a CMS and selling on eBay and Amazon in a business environment would be an advantage, but we will consider candidates with relevant skills who are looking for a career change.
