"On Thursday 8th December my Yeti came in for a 2 year service. I feel I must write and tell you that I received the best service I have ever encountered. I have owned cars since 1964, have lived in 14 different towns in England and have had various makes and models of cars serviced in all of these towns.
3 weeks ago I came in to book the car in for a service. I spoke to Mr Wayne Gowing, as I did on all subsequent occasions. He noted, on the computer, what I wanted and also a couple of minor points I raised. Mr Gowing was friendly, extremely efficient and left me with a very reassuring feeling that the work would be done to the highest possible standards. This is not the case with some garages who listen but do not hear.
At 16.30hrs on Wednesday 7th I parked the Yeti in your forecourt and went inside to book it in at reception. Mr Gowing had all the paperwork ready for me and outside was a courtesy car as promised. A few minutes were spent going over my requirements once again then I was on my way home.
Mr Gowing told me the Yeti could possibly be ready by lunch time on the 8th and that he would phone me. It made no difference to me what time it would be ready. However, he did phone to say it would not be ready as early as lunchtime and that he would phone me when everything had been completed. I found it very thoughtful and considerate to be informed even though the timing was of no importance to me on that day.
After a phone call I collected the Yeti at 17.15hrs. Mr Gowing gave me a printed schedule of all the work completed and went through every detail with me. Once again every effort was made to make sure I knew what had been done and that I understood and was satisfied.
At 17.30hrs I drove home in what felt like a new Yeti.
My experience over the years of having cars serviced and repaired have ranged from good to downright appalling. I can say with complete honesty that my experience with your dealership is by far and away the very best I have ever had. Your customer service is absolutely brilliant, Mr Gowing was extremely good at his job and left me with the overall feeling that he actually cared that I received the best possible service.

The day we had started our holiday to the Scottish Borders, the oil indicator light in our Octavia came on. You can imagine how we felt when we could have faced missing out on the first few days of our holiday while the car was being fixed. We were only going away for a week and so we could have missed out on the entire holiday. Fortunately, Simon Wren and the technician was working on his own that day (I think his name was Rob) agreed to take a quick look at the car and it was only the engine oil that needed topping up. They really saved the day for us and I know they were under pressure with just Rob on in your Service Department. "I wanted to write a short letter to thank Mazda Underwoods and more specifically Paul Cox for some truly exceptional service.
As background I decided to purchase a black Mazda 2 1.5 Sport for my mum as a present and wanted to take the car back over the Easter break as a surprise. Unfortunately I only spotted the car a week before Easter which left limited time to agree the deal, test drive the car, ensure the car was taxed, MOTd/serviced etc, particularly given that I work in London getting back to Colchester at around 8pm in the evening.
The service and standard of preparation on the car was like nothing I have experienced before from the likes of Aston Martin, Porsche, Lotus etc and included:-
Paul staying to 9pm at night to allow me to test drive the car. All the paper work was prepared in order to save time and allow a swift hand over on the Good Friday.
Regular email updates from Paul on the car preparation
Clear guidance on what was needed by when to ensure delivery
Paul coming in on his day off (Thursday) in order to ensure the car was taxed and serviced
Paul coming again on his day off (Good Friday) to handover on Friday morning.
Not sure who valets the car but standard prep on the car was stunning.
I drove back to my parents on Good Friday and my mum is delighted, the car will provide many years enjoyable and safe motoring for her.
Overall I cannot thank you enough and have sent a copy of the letter to Mazda UK to ensure they are fully aware of the exceptional service your dealership provides its customers,truly rare in this day and age."

"I have recently taken delivery of my new Mazda and would like to share the experience with you.
The vehicle was delivered on time, Glen Stafford deserves a medal for his patients and determination making sure everything went smoothly. This is my first purchase from you but your staff has made this a hassel free time.
I am a serving soldier and about to deploy to Afghanistan, the car is to ensure that my wife and daughter have no problems while I am away. Unfortunately the car developed a problem and was returned to the dealer at 4.30 on a Friday afternoon, the day before I was due to drive to Italy. Once again , your staf were courteous and diagnosed the problem within minutes of mt arrival. The outlook was bleak as it required a part that wasnt on the shelf! After some deliberation I was packed off home with a car and the promise of a phone call later. Around 10.00pm the car was completed and I was able to depart for Italy the next morning and it has not missed a beat since.
The point of this letter is not to complain but to thank all of your staff who have been involved thus far. From Glen with his saintly patience, to all the guys who worked late on that Friday to ensure that my holiday was not disrupted in anyway. As you can imagine, going toAfghanistan is a testing experience but I leave in the knowledge that I will not havre to worry about my familys transport needs while I am away and for that I am truly thankful. I have also written a review for Whatcar Magazine which they say they will publish next month which also praises your staff.
As for the car: it is phenomenal in every way. It has outperformed in every area, even with the little blip I havre the utmost confidence that it will continue to perform in the years ahead. Everyone who travels in it comments about some aspect and its never negative. Easily the most underrated car I have owned.
I hope this will be passed to the management and to the guys also. All your staff are a credit to your organisation and I will happily recommend your services to anyone.

"On Friday 25th June 2010, I had a yellow warning light appear in the instrument panel of my Astra. I checked the manual and discovered I had a fault with the catalytic converter. I phoned your department to report the fault at 08.10 on the Saturday and was advised to contact the AA. I phoned them at 08.30 and was informed that a patrolman would be with me just after 09.00. He arrived at 09.10 and recognised the fault. He said he would tow the vehicle to your workshop. I phoned your office to say the vehicle was on its way.
I next had a call from your department at approximatley 11.45 to say the vehicle was ready for collection. From 08.10 to 11.45, less than four hours on a Saturday morning my vehicle was repaired and ready for me to collect. What wonderfull service, I thank you and your staff profusely."
